Geophysical Surveying

MAMC has successfully performed multiple geophysical surveys such as magnetometer scans and sub-bottom profiling, as either independent reconnaissance or in conjunction with larger geotechnical campaigns. Our clients have utilized our magnetometer surveys to locate ferrous material such as debris obstructing future construction activities, pipelines, cables, or “misplaced” anchors and chains. Sub-bottom profiling is typically utilized to identify dense objects, such as boulders, buried beneath the existing mud/sand bottom. This provides the client the option to either remove or plan around such objects prior to subsurface construction activities such as Vibro compaction, drilling, and pile driving.

MAMC has partnered with some of the most experienced data interpreters in the industry to ensure optimal results and eliminate misinterpretations and false targets. Partnering with MAMC prior to your next subsurface, foundation, or soil improvement project can prevent costly delays by locating obstructions before they locate your equipment.
